IFMA Foundation

The IFMA Foundation works for the public good in support of Facility Management higher education, students studying Facility Management and related fields, research critical to the profession, and increasing awareness of facility management and making FM a career of choice.

The IFMA Foundation plans events and provides resources for the FM throughout the year - here are just a few examples of things the IFMA Foundation is doing to support the profession.


Benchmarking for Facility Professionals

The IFMA Foundation plans a number of events through the year that specifically support the research, academic and scholarship efforts of the Foundation. At the upcoming World Workplace Conference and Expo, here are a few activities the Foundation will present:


The Foundation supports aspiring and practicing FMs in their efforts to reach higher, go farther and make a difference.

Every year, the Foundation’s scholarship sponsors make it possible to award 35-40 students studying FM and closely related careers. In 2016 the program investment in students totals more than $160,000 in scholarship funds along with fully paid travel and participation at IFMA’s World Workplace.

Scholarship sponsors come from around the world and are IFMA Chapters, IFMA Councils, FM solution providers and other FM organizations Since 1991, the Foundation has awarded more than $1.5 million to hundreds of aspiring FM professionals.

These scholarships change lives and are a principal strategy and creating the next generation of FM professionals.
